Frequently Asked Questions

Answers Before You Ask

Everything guests usually want to know about booking a Tobago villa, payment and staying with Sunsational Tobago.

Booking Process

How do I book a villa with Sunsational Tobago?+

Open the villa's page, choose a room configuration and pick free dates on the live availability calendar. You'll see your full price, including any seasonal rate or current promotion, before you send anything. Instant Book villas confirm immediately; for the others our reservations team confirms availability with you before any payment is requested. Once confirmed, a 50 percent deposit secures the dates.

Are bookings confirmed instantly?+

It depends on the property. Villas showing an Instant Book badge confirm your stay the moment you book free dates on the villa page, and your invoice arrives by email straight away. For every other villa, your request goes through a short approval step so our team can verify availability and property details before confirming, which usually takes less than one business day. Either way, each villa page shows live availability, so you can see which dates are free before you ask.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?+

Payments are made by bank transfer to our TTD or USD Scotiabank accounts, or our Republic Bank TTD account. After transferring, email a photo of your payment receipt so our team can verify and confirm it against your booking.

How much deposit is required, and when is the balance due?+

A 50 percent deposit is required within 72 hours of your reservation being confirmed to secure the dates. The remaining balance is due 21 days before arrival. Reservations made within 21 days of arrival require full payment upfront.

What happens if I do not pay the deposit in time?+

If the deposit is not received within 72 hours of confirmation, the tentative reservation is released so the dates can be offered to other guests.

What is the damage deposit and how do I get it back?+

The damage deposit is equal to one night's accommodation rate for your selected property and room configuration. It is refunded within five working days of check-out once the property has been inspected, provided no damage or additional cleaning is required.

Cancellations

What is your cancellation policy?+

Sunsational Tobago operates a no-refund cancellation policy. If your plans change, we offer six months to rebook the same accommodation, or in some cases a different property, at no additional charge.

Check-in & Check-out

What are your check-in and check-out times?+

Check-in and check-out times vary by property and are confirmed with you before arrival. Early check-in and late check-out are available on request, subject to availability.

Can I check in early or check out late?+

Yes, subject to availability. Early check-in before 12pm is TT$400, or TT$200 after 12pm. Late check-out before 2pm is TT$200, or TT$400 after 2pm.

How do I get into the property when I arrive?+

Several of our villas sit inside gated communities. Once your booking is confirmed, we send full directions and ask you to call our team or housekeeper when you reach the gate or property so we can let you in and complete check-in.

Extras

Can I add celebration décor, breakfast, groceries or a rental car to my stay?+

Yes. Sunsational Tobago offers special occasion bedroom décor, local breakfast delivery, a grocery stock-up before you arrive and car rental. Current prices are on our Additional Services page. Add them from the Additional services tab in any villa's booking form, or request them on their own. Our team confirms each one with you before any payment is requested.

Can I rent a car through Sunsational Tobago?+

Yes. Choose an economy sedan, a compact SUV or a mid-size SUV, priced per rental day. Your car can be waiting at the airport or delivered to your villa. Vehicles are subject to availability, and our team confirms your vehicle, pickup and driver details with you before your stay.

Can breakfast be delivered to my villa in Tobago?+

Yes. Order a local breakfast of roast or fry bake with sausage, saltfish, scrambled eggs or cheese, plus tea or fresh juice. Please order in advance. Our team confirms availability for your dates, then the menu opens for you to order your meals and pay.

Can you stock the kitchen with groceries before I arrive?+

Yes. Send us your shopping list and we arrange basic groceries to be ready in your accommodation when you arrive. There is a stocking and packing fee, and we confirm the estimated grocery cost and service fee with you before shopping. Items are subject to availability.

What celebration décor can I arrange for a birthday, anniversary or honeymoon?+

Choose room décor, a balloon bouquet and banner, or a message spelled in rose petals on the bed, so the bedroom is ready when your guest arrives. Décor is available at every property for birthdays, anniversaries, proposals and honeymoons. Ask for it when you book, or request it on its own.

House Rules

Are pets allowed?+

Pets are not permitted unless approved by management in writing prior to arrival.

Can I host an event or party at the villa?+

This varies by property. Eagles' Base Villa and Surfers' Paradise Villa in Mount Irvine are built for weddings, retreats and celebrations. Sugar Haven Villas welcomes small events, and Tropicbird Townhouse allows events and parties, all with prior arrangement and payment at the time of booking. Eagles' Base events are booked as the Full Estate with its cottage, and Plantation View Villa can be taken with Eagles' Base for a larger gathering, so please tell us about your event when you enquire. Twin Tides Villas and Villa Arizia do not permit events, parties or loud music. Occasion decor for birthdays and anniversaries is available at every property, please mention it in your enquiry.
